Natalie M Lalonde, CPA, CGA, is the Chief Audit Executive of Canadian Heritage (PCH). In this role, she is responsible for providing the Deputy Minister of PCH with an independent and objective assessment and assurance on the effectiveness and adequacy of risk management, control and governance process within the Department.
Natalie joined PCH in September 2015 after holding the role of Director of Audit Operations at the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development for 2 years and Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) for 3 years. Prior to joining the CIDA, Natalie was Director of Professional Practices and Development in the Audit and Accountability Bureau of Health Canada for a little over a year, Audit Manager at the Department of Finance and Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, Chief Auditor with Consulting and Audit Canada (CAC) where she was originally hired through the FORD/IARD program in May 2001. Prior to her public service career, she worked in various accounting positions for 10 years.
She is a Certified General Accountant (CPA, CGA) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics for the University of Ottawa and Administration (Accounting) degree from the Université du Québec à Hull.
