Matt is Canada’s National Risk Leader, responsible for Internal Audit, Risk Assurance, Risk Transformation and Cybersecurity. More than 25 years experience helping companies transform and enhance their Risk functions In addition to his National Risk Leader role, Matt is the engagement leader for several internal audit co-source engagements for Canada’s largest energy companies. In this role, Matt partners with management to transform the internal audit department and enhance internal audit’s credibility to the business and deliver value. Matt delivers leading practices and resources to improve the focus, efficiency and overall effectiveness of the internal audit function. Matt and his team have worked with several companies to establish and implement a Vendor Audit program that focusses on cost recovery and real time invoice attest using robotic process automation.

Professional Experience 
As Canada’s Risk Leader, Matt is responsible for the growth and operations of the following practices:

• Internal Audit – improving the performance of the internal audit function and increasing the return on internal audit improvement.
• Risk Assurance – Improving the efficiency and effectiveness of IT Organizations; improving coverage of IT across the enterprise.
• Risk Transformation – Driving efficiency, effectiveness and balanced risk coverage across an organization’s governance, risk and compliance activities (e.g., ERM and Major Capital Projects).
• Cyber Security – We help companies tackle the many security challenges they face on a daily basis, and develop effective solutions using people, processes and technology
