Polak, Melissa

With a passion for Canada’s public sector, Melissa Polak, CIA, has worked as both an external internal strategic advisor on delivering complex operational and infrastructure projects, managing risk, and delivering value to organizations through internal audit and advisory engagements spanning across regulatory compliance, value-for-money, third party management, performance measurement, corporate efficiency, and project management to name a few. Prior to her current role, Melissa was a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young in their Advisory practice. Melissa is a Certified Internal Auditor and received the William S. Smith Certificate of Honour for her performance on the CIA exams. She also loves engaging with the Canadian business community and is a regular speaker with organizations like ISACA, the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade, the CPA Chapter of BC, and the Young Women in Business Conference.
